We understand that many fish, particularly koi, are vulnerable to changes in water condition. Pondsafe has been formulated to ensure there are no harmful chemicals to migrate into the pond water.
Many pond coatings contain chemicals that are potentially harmful to fish and other aquatic life, which residual styrene from fibreglass application can be similarly dangerous. Such chemicals are not present in the PONDSAFE formulation, so pond owners can be confident that no harm will be caused to their fish.
The 2-pack epoxy system is self-priming with a coverage of 6-8 square metres per litre, dependent on the porosity of the underlying substrate. It can be applied to concrete, render, block, brick & fibreglass/gel-coat, so it’s not only ideal for new pond builds, but also for re-coating established ponds.
Pondsafe can be applied to damp substrates, eliminating the long wait for a recently emptied pond to dry.
The second coat can typically be applied within eight hours and the pond will be ready for re-filling within three or four days.
A great question. Liners, particularly box-weld, are probably the easiest solution but they are quite expensive and not well suited to irregular or intricate pond designs. Fibreglass is an excellent option for most pond shapes, but is expensive and not an easy DIY task. Good fibreglass applicators are difficult to find and subsequently in high demand. PONDSAFE is much cheaper than fibreglass and comparable with the lower end of box-weld liners. Importantly, it is an easy DIY option, so it can be applied according to the pond-owner’s timescale rather than the availability of an applicator.
Yes. PONDSAFE has been formulated to ensure excellent adhesion to damp substrates.
We have a standard range, including black, grey, stone, blue & green, but any colour is possible, subject to minimum volume requirements.
Correctly applied, it will remain watertight for many years.
While we do supply to the public, we are primarily a business to business supplier, so we are certainly happy to supply resellers and distributors.
It is indeed. We are happy to apply your branding, subject to appropriate minimum order commitments.
The ability to mould housings and casings from thermally conductive, electrically insulating plastics allows heat dissipation to be improved when use alongside, or even in place of, conventional metallic solutions.
The rapid acceleration of electric vehicle adoption has brought with it an increased demand for thermal management solutions and weight reduction.
